Stronger for Ukraine is a pro Ukraine charity that aims to spend money wisely, helping people of Ukraine as much as we can.
We were asked to get 75 tourniquets and provide help with buying drones. So, if you donated to us in the recent 2 months, read on to learn where it went!
CAT tourniquets cost $33.99 at North American Rescue website, so we turned to a friendly non-profit Ukrainian Cultural Club of Dallas that already had an established account at NAR. Natalya Berezovska helped us coordinate collaboration. They helped us purchase them at a bulk price for a $1823.50 total — a great price and a good example of stretching our dollars as far as we can. These tourniquets are currently en route to Ukraine.
For help with buying drones and parts, we partnered with a Ukrainian NGO “BF Odyhitriia” based in Odesa. It is run by a priest of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, and their main line of work is making masking nets for the army. By partnering, we could get Ukrainian local prices while complying with all local reporting regulations. After signing all the nexessary paperwork, Stronger for Ukraine transferred $2000 to this Ukrainian non-profit, and that covered a list of purchases as follows:
- FPV Drone – 9230 UAH
- Tablet – 6300 UAH
- Tablet – 8800 UAH
- Tourniquets – 6965 UAH
- Skyzone antennas 50 pcs – 14000 UAH
- Nails 45 boxes – 2358 UAH
- Beta FPV receiver 6 pcs – 5820
- Pouches for magazines 2 pcs – 1100
- Delivery costs – 2030 UAH
- FPV glasses Skyzone SKY04O PRO OLED 5.8G – 16000 UAH
After these purchases, $168 remained unspent and we agreed that it will be used for fabric used for masking nets. This amount covers two rolls of spunbond fabric that is usually used for making nets. Masking nets have been in much demand recently, so we’re sure the money will be well spent, and very soon, too!
