An update on a quiet project that was happening in the background.
In July, we worked with a local Ukrainian non-profit to purchase drone parts and other sundries for the military in the South.
In August, this non-profit asked for help purchasing a cutting press for them. They had been getting increasingly many requests for masking nets, and having a way to automate cutting would help a lot. We transferred them $3000 and the wait for press began. The local place that built the press took over a month (almost 2 months), during which they managed to not get hit by any russian missiles, even though there were hits close by.
And today we got a final update on the press — it’s up and running, cutting fabric faster than sewing machines can handle! With seasons changing and masking nets having to change colors, it’s some good news for all the units that get their nets from BF Odyhitriia’s volunteers.
